Lent Laptop Appeal
Lancaster City of Sanctuary
supports asylum seekers in Lancaster
awaiting decisions on Right to Remain
Their current appeal is to fund laptops
to allow asylum seekers
to access their live English-language tuition
(led by local volunteers) on Zoom
and to complete their written exercises
We appealed for fourteen people
to give £14 each
to fund one laptop
We have already reached that target
and we are now well on our way
to funding a second laptop
Across Lancaster and Morecambe
the appeal has already raised over £3,000
providing 18 new laptops
£11.20 plus Gift Aid is £14
